A 6-meter (50-54 MHz) vertical antenna can be used, and depending on propagation conditions, it may achieve DX (meaning long-distance communication in this context).
However: Most equipment capable of transmitting in the 6-meter band is a shortwave radio (marked HF/50MHz). This is primarily due to two factors: firstly, it tends to be more expensive, and secondly, it requires obtaining a separate license for the V-band (shortwave portion) after passing the B exam.
