BG7NOD Quarix The forum only listed some of the machines, and there were still many that weren't mentioned. I didn't have much time to play, so I just bought a few machines to reassure myself.
BG6HFD Quarix Thank you for your support. wfview is primarily designed for ICOM, and its interface feels somewhat unattractive. I am looking forward to YaesuView. I have previously created a simple web-based control program, and I have also seen similar projects, but I still feel that it is not user-friendly enough.
BG7NOD The official Yaesu software has a problem: the spectrum resolution is too low. When using a more detailed spectrum like that from Sun SDR, the Yaesu computer interface screen becomes almost unreadable. I'm not sure if extracting the data will also improve this spectrum resolution accuracy. (I don't know if it's just that the extracted data has this limited resolution, or if the software itself is compressing the data.)
BG6HFD BG7NOD That's all that can be extracted, or the output data matches what is displayed on the machine screen. If a low-performance SDR machine is needed for wide-bandwidth SDR, the current solution still requires an external SDR and a decoding system on the host computer.
Quarix BG7NOD The resolution return is fixed at 710, and testing shows that the maximum bandwidth achievable is 1 MHz, which is quite fine.
BH6BAS BG7NOD Some people prefer to connect and use devices like a "net box" to access them. For me, I don't want to use amateur radio for internet connectivity; it's better to just chat in a WeChat group. If you want to listen to amateur radio, the existing shared SDR nodes are also good enough. Here are some of my personal opinions.
BG7NOD BH6BAS Hey, I agree. I also think that radio communication doesn't require external infrastructure, so why not just use WeChat or QQ? I bought the SCU-LAN10 specifically for local network usage. This is just my personal opinion though. However, some HAM enthusiasts might choose to build a house in the suburbs with antennas and communicate remotely because of limited home conditions or unfavorable urban environments. That's understandable as a last resort.
Quarix Based on this foundation, by integrating with AetherSDR, it achieves an operation experience that is close to, or even similar to, that of a FlexRadio.
