I think the FT710 with X6100 is fine. I don't see a significant improvement over the 6200, and the Chinese interface isn't essential for me. If I absolutely had to choose, the 705 would be better. The QRP plus manual tuning combination is really inefficient.

As the owner of an X6100, I find that while it's not a top-quality radio, it's still usable thanks to XieGu's reliable after-sales service. I've also been able to operate several stations using a relaxed, "chill" approach. As a 100W radio, the X6100 is dependable. If you're looking for your only shortwave device, QRP isn't ideal! I recommend going with something like the 891 or 7300, which will make it easy to complete QSOs. Once you understand your antenna and the characteristics of different frequency bands, you can easily carry: one X6100, a MA02 antenna, a feedline, and a 12V output power bank. This allows me to spend an afternoon in the park and complete over ten QSOs. It's also very convenient to carry by bicycle or on foot. I currently find that the X6100 is very easy to use, and I have no interest in upgrading to the X6200 or 705. Of course, if Yaesu were to release the FTX1F, I would definitely pay attention to it and see if it has any features that I need.
