BI1QJQ Yes, I actually experienced it myself. Whether it was luck or the lightning just passed through, the antenna is fine. I cut about five centimeters of the coaxial cable, and both the inner and outer copper layers of the cable are now black. The interface at the top of the surge protector also broke, along with the connection between the cable and the connector. I disconnected the lower equipment, but the antenna is still in use.
