On November 30th, a weekend, I used a Yagi antenna (specifically, the "八木" or eight-element Yagi), with 100 watts of power, aimed at Europe. The response was very strong, and it immediately overwhelmed me. I had to follow the pace of the contest, so I ended my transmission after 599 contacts. After about ten minutes, fewer people were responding, and I gradually used normal communication mode. Although I only operated for one hour before going for a barbecue, I still managed to make 38 contacts, which made me very happy.
