The bandwidth of the SDR is limited, so it can only display a certain range of frequencies. If you want to display the entire frequency range on one screen, you will need to pay extra, and that will be a significant amount.
Recommendation 1: RTL-SDR. It's inexpensive; you can buy a regular TV dongle for around 30-50 RMB on Taobao, and even the more expensive ones cost around 200-300 RMB. These can support shortwave and UV bands. However, cheaper TV dongles don't perform well when receiving shortwaves, and sometimes require manual circuit modifications, which can be complicated. The maximum bandwidth is only 2 MHz, meaning you can only view a spectrum up to 2 MHz at a time.
Recommendation 2: Counterfeit RSP1, available on Taobao from Jia Chen Innovation. It's made by a college student and has a slightly wider sampling bandwidth than RTL-SDR, but the performance is generally average.
Recommendation 3: airspy mini, airspy r2. These support frequencies from 30 MHz to over 1 GHz, but do not support shortwave. They offer good performance and are SDRsharp-supported devices. The maximum bandwidth they can support is up to 6 MHz, with a price of around ¥1000. The mini version is slightly cheaper, while the r2 is more expensive.
Recommendation 4: airspy Hf, which is also a device officially supported by SDRSharp. It supports shortwave frequencies up to over 100 MHz and is said to have very high sensitivity. The price is approximately 1000 RMB.
Recommendation 5: Official RSP1A, an improved version of the RSP1. The original RSP1 is no longer in production. This RSP1A supports frequencies from shortwave to 2G and can display a 10MHz spectrum simultaneously. It is said to have excellent performance.
