1. Recommendations regarding feed lines and connectors: Many people recommend using 50-12 connectors. If there are bends, it is strongly recommended to use a feed line. The biggest drawback of connectors is that they are not resistant to bending; once the shielding layer deforms, they cannot be restored, which effectively renders them useless. For distances up to 50 meters, 50-7 connectors are sufficient. Installing connectors is more difficult than installing feed lines. Considering your situation, using 50-5 connectors within a distance of 30 meters can completely solve the problem and minimize short-wave losses.
2. Regarding rooftop antenna selection: If possible, install a Yagi antenna directly. If conditions are slightly less favorable, installing a standard V750 is preferable. As a last resort, consider GP (grid-to-point), feedline, or long wire antennas, in that order.
3. Secure top-end cable: The cable at the bottom of the building should be secured using durable rope or insulation to prevent sagging due to gravity. If possible, use a conduit; however, the cable must be very close to it. Alternatively, you can try running the cable along the wall, securing it firmly at both ends with appropriate force.
