I'm a complete beginner. I recently bought a heat gun specifically to disassemble it and replace the chips. After about half an hour, I couldn't figure out how to use it or remove the chips... Finally, I used a return soldering iron. I didn't change the tip, just increased the temperature slightly and easily melted a large amount of solder.

I downloaded the expansion package from the losehu GitHub release page, and version 0.11.1 is available. Currently, I don't understand the firmware principle and am concerned about potential issues if I upgrade directly. I'm wondering whether it's safer to upgrade step-by-step from an older version. 0.11.1->0.11.8->0.12.6... Are there any convenient methods?
By the way, I found the chip on Taobao (search for M24M02) and checked the reviews before placing my order.
