It could also be some kind of DSP illusion...
My radio is an FTDX10, and I have set the DATA mode bandwidth to 3000 Hz. The HighCUT frequency is slightly higher at 3200 Hz.
Theoretically, all signals above 3200 Hz are filtered out by the device. However, it's not completely clean.
When the FT8 spectrum is set to a width of 6000, I often see signals above 3000. These signals appear to be related and symmetrical to those within the 3000 range.
Trying to decode a signal like 7076 kHz + 2 kHz (e.g., 7076 kHz), but I didn't get any results.
