4. If you can't connect, try practicing letter-based explanations and doing practice exercises (to build a foundation for future "B" level learning)...

Buy or build a high-gain Yagi antenna, or climb to a nearby high hill; with a 5W handheld transceiver, you can communicate up to 100 kilometers. After six months, I'll take the B license exam and experiment with shortwave communication – distance will no longer be an issue.

Book a slot with Zhonglian. Either operate via satellite (if possible), or use the entire "Ju Cai Box 6" for FT8 (if propagation is still good).
