The main issue is really about the choice of antenna setup, especially in the low band. It's convenient to set up, has good receiving performance, and high transmission efficiency – essentially a "trilemma." GP or 4SQ arrays can only be said to be the best antennas for low-band setups with some level of efficiency. However, their disadvantage is high ground noise. To compensate for this, you need to use a beverage antenna for auxiliary reception. Even so, its ease of setup is much easier than setting up a 40m Yagi or even more dramatically, an 80m/160m Yagi like OH8X's, making it significantly more convenient.
