I tried out a multi-band fishing rod antenna over the weekend. Here's the test video:https://www.bilibili.com/video/BV1gK411d7ek/
This antenna is a non-resonant antenna and requires the use of an internal radio tuner. It's very simple to make, consisting of a vertical ground plane plus a 4:1 balun. The actual performance is acceptable; surprisingly, it works well even without any interference mitigation measures, and full-band transmission hasn't caused the computer USB to disconnect. Perhaps the balun is responsible? Previously, using an internal tuner with a 1/4 GP antenna frequently resulted in the USB disconnecting, which was very frustrating.
The original specifications for the antenna can be found here:https://wb3gck.com/2018/12/09/revisiting-the-rybakov-806-vertical/
