I'd like to go on a shortwave radio outing, but I don't really want to have to carry around a lamp stand (3(Weighing 5 kg), making it completely inconvenient to carry.
The following tests have been conducted so far:
There's a GP, but it's a 5.6m one. It can't achieve a 40m wavelength, so I need to add another coil and capacitor.
I strung up a random wire antenna on the roof, using that particular size. Currently, it can only be used as a fixed antenna.
I'm interested in trying out the Rybakov antenna, which seems to be another type of End-Fed Random Wire antenna. Has anyone else tried it and had success? If so, how did you set up the support structure for the antenna?
