I had been watching videos by Xiao Wang and M on Bilibili for many years, and that's how I learned about amateur radio. However, at the time, I didn't know that there were exams available locally, so I never took them. When I first started learning about amateur radio, I bought a Dongfeng full-band receiver, but because I was new to it, I thought I could listen to shortwave signals just like a regular radio at home. After listening for a few days without receiving any signal, I put it aside. It wasn't until 2025 that I accidentally saw a WeChat message from the local association promoting exams and found out about them, and since the registration process was very convenient, I decided to take the exam. That's when I got hooked on amateur radio.
