However, my concern lies in the fact that if it were a refurbished device (since this transparent color hasn't been seen officially), it might have hidden issues that are difficult to detect initially. This could lead to problems later on, especially if it's used outside of its intended environment (even potentially posing a danger).
- I was also wondering if you could advise me on what indicators to check and how to test them after receiving a device. If there are any tutorials or videos available, I would appreciate it if you could recommend them. Additionally, are there any methods for determining whether a device is refurbished without opening it?
- Here are some recent issues discovered regarding this device (evidence provided at the end):
（1）After turning it on, the screen backlight is blue. When I bought the same model and configuration from other vendors, they were all orange. I also searched online for the same model, but didn't find any with a blue backlight. This has increased my suspicion that it might be a refurbished unit.
（2）Regarding the charging adapter, after asking the store again, they replied that it was updated to USB because it needed to comply with the 3C standard in order to meet the needs of bringing a laptop on board. However, after I checked, there is no requirement for the charging plug to comply with the 3C standard when flying, as airlines do not allow passengers to use plugs, and the adapters themselves do not contain lithium batteries. Furthermore, the so-called USB adapter updated to meet the 3C standard does not have any 3C certification marks. This is quite ridiculous.
（3）Regarding the blue backlight, the seller claimed that QuanSheng introduced this feature in 2023 to differentiate between their V1 (with large memory) and standard V3 models. I asked when this change was made, and the seller said it was after receiving a notification from QuanSheng in 2023. This claim seems even more dubious. To verify the truthfulness of this statement, I went to the official QuanSheng website to find contact information. The response from QuanSheng was:
1. The V1 version was discontinued last year, and the models being sold by retailers are likely leftover stock (hence the "2026" label is actually self-applied by the retailer).
2. There is no situation where the screen backlight was set to blue specifically to differentiate between the V1 and V3 models.
Combining（2）、（3）Together, we can reasonably conclude that this merchant was attempting a clumsy and somewhat naive attempt to justify their actions, but I didn't expect them to actually contact the official authorities. After I informed them that V1 had been discontinued in the previous year, they responded with "uh-huh" to avoid further awkwardness, and then stopped responding altogether.
In reality, I wouldn't even care if the seller put new labels on the existing stock; however, he immediately jumps in with explanations and justifications, which significantly damages his credibility and increases the likelihood that he will sell refurbished machines.
