I've been using the MK2 for about a month now, and I'd like to share some of the issues I encountered and how I resolved them. This information is applicable to new models from ICOM.
1、The FT8 software does not recognize CAT.
Solution: Modify the CI-V address to 94h, verify that the baud rate is consistent, and confirm that the data lines are supported.
2、PTP control is normal, output has no power.
Solution: Verify that the FT8 software audio settings are correct, verify that the computer's audio settings are correct, and ensure that DATA MOD is connected via USB.
3. After using FT8, SSB voice communication requires manual input.
Solution: Check if DATA OFF MOD is set to MIC.
P.S.: I recommend that everyone set the DATA MOD to USB and the DATA OFF MOD to MIC.
Overall, there are no major drawbacks; it meets my needs well.😌
