Using a handheld/long-range antenna, and being able to carry it on an aircraft creates a fundamental impossibility triangle. My handheld radio, the Yaesu 891, uses a self-built 52Ah lithium iron phosphate battery, which cannot be used on public transport, but can support 2-3 full afternoons of Yaesu (primarily FT8 + SSB + CW) operation. For fixed installations, I use a modified server power supply that outputs 13.8V, which is lightweight and easy to carry. Aircrafts are restricted to under 100Wh, with a maximum of two units. My 15Ah battery for UV applications already reaches 200Wh. Therefore, assembling multiple batteries is not practical; don't waste your time.
