I have a single unit of the 878 Bluetooth version. I bought it in 2018 and it has been my primary device ever since. Now, I've updated the firmware to version 3.04, and this device is really excellent; it's known as a "DMR god machine."
This device has a very comprehensive set of features, and the menu categories are also well-organized. One device can fully utilize all the functions of DMR. The frequency scan function can identify the color code slots for digital signals. I highly recommend purchasing it.
A common problem with this device is that the control panel (especially the rotary channel knob) can cause screen distortion when receiving signals. In most cases, a restart will resolve the issue, but occasionally, you may need to restore the database file. The current 3.04 firmware is the most stable. I recommend buying the second generation, as the first generation APRS only allows for sending, not receiving. The second generation is a full-featured APRS device. Bluetooth is unnecessary; it's rarely used.
