Beijing No. 8 Middle School Collective Station BY1BZH – Special SSTV Event Announcement, March 1, 2026 (Shortwave)
To all amateur radio enthusiasts:
The Beijing No. 8 Middle School Amateur Radio Club's Collective Station (BY1BZH, located at No. 2, Academy Street, Xicheng District, Beijing, within the grounds of Beijing No. 8 Middle School) will hold a special SSTV event in shortwave mode on Sunday, March 1, 2026 (the core of the activity is station-based operation). This event aims to promote SSTV image transmission operations, improve enthusiasts' practical communication skills in emergency situations, and provide a platform for nationwide enthusiasts to listen and interact, thereby consolidating amateur radio emergency resources.
I. Basic parameters of the activity
1. Event time: March 1, 2026 (Sunday), 9:30 AM - 11:00 AM (Beijing time)
2. Operating frequency: 14.233 MHz (Please note that all enthusiasts should adhere to this frequency unless there are special circumstances, and it should not be switched to another frequency.)
3. Transmission Mode:
- 9:30-10:30 Scottie 2 mode
- 10:30-11:00 Scottie 1 mode
4. Station Hardware: Yaesu FTdx10 radio, paired with a 40-meter end-fed antenna, transmitting power of 80W.
II. Rules for Signal Transmission
During this event, SSTV image signals were the only transmission method used. Under normal connection status, all stations did not transmit CW (continuous wave) Morse code or enable voice communication. Voice calling was only used temporarily when there was widespread signal chaos and the control station could not identify the station information, to facilitate the call-out process and ensure that the event proceeded in an orderly manner.
