5.6-meter telescopic antenna is specifically designed for amateur shortwave communication, making it easy to quickly set up and take down in the field. It is not suitable for long-term fixed use. The optimal length of the antenna is 1/4 wavelength, with a 20-meter band requiring a 1/4 wavelength of approximately 5 meters, plus an additional 0.6 meter. This antenna is suitable for 20-meter or higher frequency bands (and can even be used for the UV band). However, for 30-meter and 40-meter bands, the telescopic length is not sufficient, and a matching coil needs to be added.
A 10-meter fishing rod is generally not designed for amateur radio use, but because its length is approximately the same as a quarter wavelength of the 40-meter band, it can be used as an antenna for amateur radio if properly secured and connected, with slight adjustments using a transceiver.
