To rule out the possibility of insufficient power from the radio itself, we need to use a dummy load and a power meter to check.
Connect a dummy load and a power meter to the radio, transmit at full power in CW mode, and check if the power output is normal and if the voltage of the power supply remains within an acceptable range (less than 0.2V). This will help rule out any external issues.
Do not use SSB and microphone volume, FT8 and sound card input level settings, or other software settings to detect power.
If a simulated load plus CW mode transmission detection reveals insufficient power, this is usually related to the radio's PA (power amplifier) section. This could be due to aging components in the amplifier, issues with surrounding parts, or even problems with the circuit board itself, such as incorrect biasing, relay contact problems, etc.
If the initial transmit power is normal, but the power decreases after continuous transmission for a period of time, it may be due to saturation of some magnetic cores in the LPF (Low-Pass Filter) section.
