BI7ALG "Waterfall" or "comb filtering" is a common issue with SDR radios, whether using audio sampling or direct RF sampling. Some devices (such as certain models from ICOM and Yaesu) use software algorithms to minimize the effect; if there are no strong interfering signals nearby, or if the pre-amplifier is not enabled (or has low gain), waterfall effects are less noticeable.
Regarding the common observation that DX10 doesn't exhibit "cross-talk" (interference between different broadcast channels), this is actually due to its use of a mixed sampling method, which provides better suppression of such interference.
