Since I started building shortwave radios myself, I assembled a GP (following instructions from online forums), which is essentially assembly and not DIY. I initially wanted to buy a pre-made kit, but after seeing the prices, I gave up. Since I also have experience making my own choke coils, I had 1mm insulated wire available for winding, so I searched on Bilibili (B站) for related videos.
The comrade @BG5JPL helped me print the case.
The magnetic ring chose a Taobao-made FT240-43 replica for around 30 yuan due to cost considerations.
In late December, I tested a resonant circuit in the school lab, but due to length issues, the frequency was slightly off. Trimming could resolve this.
I recently found that "咸鱼" sells magnetic rings for 8 yuan each, which are very similar to the FT240-43 in terms of specifications. I used these to wind inductors, and the effect was excellent. Thank you!@BI7ALG I provided three magnetic rings, and then I also recommended them to @BI4SQM. He has posted many test videos on Bilibili, so I won't elaborate further. After that, I bought a few more and tried making a high-power one using a waterproof box from Taobao, with two magnetic rings stacked on top of each other, achieving a 49:1 winding ratio.
