刚刚通过了A证的考试，手上有一台泉盛UVK6，双十二想入手第二台无线电设备。目前纠结项八重洲 ft-5dr，可以玩aprs和mmdvm和c4fm中继或协谷 X6100 可以玩六米波段 ft8 和SSB，交换到更远友台的QSL卡片想咨询下大家的建议

成年人的世界哪有选择？都买 but 不推荐入坑QRP设备，六米段FT8 SSB都是有难度的，然后就是本地如果有C4FM中继 2DR-5DR都可以入（除了3DR）

不要买QRP折磨自己，卫星和短波是两个方向

买什么之前想好自己的需求和规划，设备这么多不一定都能满足你的需求，满足了你的需求，可能最后是就是看着顺眼，用着顺手，你带出来的几率才大，短波如BG2FFJ所说，确实应该优先考虑100W设备，无论是传统构架还是SDR构架，区别仅是预算问题，传统构架有自身的优势，不比SDR差，回到正题，我觉得K5就很香，但是我陆陆续续买了不少其他的台子，无他，图一乐

My opinion is that a basic handheld radio is sufficient, and adding a vehicle-mounted radio will further enhance its capabilities, allowing for satellite communication with an antenna. The radio architectures of UV (and similar) are largely consistent (except for the 6m band).
There's no such thing as "best," only what's suitable.

The FreeTrack UV878 Gen 2 seems like a good option, as it's both digital and analog. I currently have the first generation, but it can only transmit in APRS mode, not receive._{However, the second generation can both send and receive signals. The equipment seems good; you should consider it!}

It feels like this isn't just about choosing a machine; it's also about deciding on the overall technological direction.
Shortwave and VHF DX are one direction, digital radios and APRS/MMDVM are another, and satellite and EME are a third.
The three directions (and potentially others) have different learning requirements, and the machine functionality needs also differ. The X6100 is primarily designed for the first direction, while the 5DR falls under the second direction, allowing satellite use but not being particularly suitable.
First, clarify your interests and needs in a specific direction, then you can buy the equipment without delay.

You can also experience C4 digital audio with a budget of less than $2, or with a larger budget, you can get 5DR.
