I feel that the current mechanisms used by vendors are still a bit awkward.
Some manufacturers (such as Zhengtong Electronics) are actually composed of multiple entities, some based overseas and others within China.
Some manufacturers (such as Xiaomi) actually have a structure of brand owner + OEM (Original Equipment Manufacturer).
Some manufacturers (such as Keysight and Yaesu) have undergone a series of mergers and acquisitions over the years, resulting in products from different brands under the same company, or products from different historical sub-brands within the same company.
Some manufacturers (such as Motorola) actually have counterfeit products that are rebranded and sold under the names of other manufacturers.
Some manufacturers (unnamed) actually produce a large number of OEM products.
The current design feels a bit too simplistic.
