First: You need to confirm which repeaters are available in your city, and then purchase the corresponding two-way radios for those repeaters.
Second point: The MMDVM box is a must-have, allowing you to fully utilize digital modes and is compatible with both DMR and C4 users.
Third point: The box can be assembled yourself (Raspberry Pi + dual-screen board + small screen), if you don't want to assemble it, buy a finished product. I recommend BH4ERY's.
Fourth point: There are many brands of DMR handheld radios available, ranging from affordable models costing between $100 and $300 to more expensive ones that can cost over $1,000. Choose the one that best suits your needs.
Popular domestic DMR brands: BaoFeng, Ru Yi Tong, Hytera, Any Tone, etc.
Popular DMR brands internationally: MOTOROLA (You can start with a used Motorola, such as the 8268, 8260, or 6550, which cost around $300)
Note: You will need to register a BM account (although DMR already has a domestic server, it is still recommended that you register one).
