BG5EPM I am a middle school student, and I cannot set up a shortwave radio station.(Although I already passed with a B)Could you recommend some good handheld radios? Ideally, it shouldn't be too expensive.
ZiYip The BaoFeng DM32UV is a good radio, with dual-mode capability, allowing you to use both digital and analog modes. However, the caveat is that...People in the surrounding area are also engaging in digital activities. [Bitterly] There isn't anyone around me.
BI3SVM_Rinko ZiYip I have a DM32, and I also have the Taiyuan digital repeater. However, no one seems to be using it. The only time I was able to make contact was when I used my handheld radio in analog mode, and then the other person happened to be on a digital frequency as well. For a handheld radio, I recommend the N76.
BG7MGW Since you have a K6 radio, consider your specific needs. Do you need to increase power output, or are you interested in APRS, Bluetooth, digital modes, etc.?
BI7DKM With K6, people are now definitely looking for more features, and I recommend N76 as a good option.
