角钢焊个十字底座，上面立个钢管，天线抱在钢管上。

别拉杆啊，正V750好用得紧，不行上GP4，下面拼多多买个太阳伞水箱（黑色耐晒的那种，40左右），上面加压沙袋，稳定的

马路牙子那种大青砖知道吧，焊一个底座然后用这种青砖压上去，或者找一块大钢板铺到房顶再在钢板上焊一个底座，这种成本就有点高了。

拉杆随便找个管往上一捆，用铁丝都没问题，只存在拉杆断的可能

Problems with permanently mounted GP antennas on rooftop structures.

The previous GP antenna was located in the downstairs forest. Now, I've found a suitable location on the top floor and plan to install the antenna there. However, I am not allowed to make any modifications to the walls. How can I install a semi-permanent GP antenna here without damaging the walls? I looked at the old-fashioned Qinghua University "Yagi" style with a brick and stone base, which seems feasible.

Currently, the Yagi antennas at Tsinghua University are also supported by concrete footings. As for GP, should we consider adding guy wires to reduce the load on the base? This would eliminate the need for a very heavy base like that required for the Yagi antenna.

Liridice Based on this, if you want it to be even more secure, you can create a transport box and mix in some cement to encase the base. Alternatively, you can add guy lines for added stability.

BI3AFQ The pull-out mechanism makes it even more convenient. If the connection is secure enough, a single concrete block would suffice. In fact, I used to build portable GPS units with a flange plate fixed to a plastic box, supported by a small tripod underneath.

I remembered having two high-quality 5.6m pull rods, and I planned to mount them in a "V" shape at the top of the building. The base would be held down with sandbags. I think digging up a few bags of sand near the beach should prevent any issues (I estimate).

Don't use the pull-out mechanism; the V750 is very good. If that doesn't work, get a sunshade and water container (the black, UV-resistant type, around 40 yuan) from Pinduoduo, and add sandbags on top for stability.

BH7HQT With the fixed V antenna, once you're done using it, you simply take it upstairs and retract the telescopic rod. This location is very convenient, as it's not far from the radio room, and the frequency used there will be quite high.

You mean those large, blue bricks used for paving roads. You could weld a base to one and then place the brick on top, or you could find a large steel plate and weld a base onto that. However, this would be more expensive.

You can find any kind of pull handle and attach it, even a wire will work. Just be aware that the pull handle could break.

BI1XJT What's the solution for grounding a GP system? Should the ground wire directly wrap around the lightning protection system on the building roof?

BI3AFQ The two M10s on the GP base should be connected with a metal rod, where the top of the M10 is connected to the rod and the bottom of the M10 is also connected to the rod. If the rod is attached to a metal pipe, it will create a direct connection to the ground. If the grounding is not ideal, you can add a grounding wire. To prevent lightning strikes, you need to install a surge protector or disconnect the feed line during thunderstorms.

Besides weight, another potential issue with concrete piers is whether they could also be a good base option.

Are you planning to use a single-band system? If so, the lever should be fixed outdoors and would likely rust quickly.

BenRG After the previous set of poor-quality drawer pulls broke, I replaced them with a higher-quality set. The new drawer pulls have been installed in the woods for over a month and have withstood rain without rusting or becoming difficult to operate. The issue with the waveband has always been when using a manual antenna tuner to generate multiple wavebands. Moving it to the top floor location is much more convenient than having to move several hundred meters to adjust the antenna downstairs.

BI3AFQ I haven't tried using the "天调" (Tian Dao) to adjust the length of full-size drawer slides, but can I still use them with a standard pull if I don't adjust the length?

If you're just looking for a pull-out handle, then buying a sun umbrella base is sufficient.
