I bought an IC-M710 for around 800 yuan, and after inspecting it, I found that the antenna connector was severely oxidized, and a large electrolytic capacitor had bulged. So, I replaced the antenna connector and the electrolytic capacitor, and also converted the power input to XT60. When testing with a dummy load, the transmit power seemed fine. If used only for FT8, there's nothing wrong with it. However, if you need to frequently change frequencies, it can be a bit cumbersome because the tuning knob only adjusts the receive frequency, and the transmit frequency doesn't move along with it. You would need to manually input the frequency using buttons.

I'm planning to build a simple FT8 box with a rotary dial, in addition to the standard CW and Bluetooth voice functions. I also want to add a feature that allows for frequency adjustment using the rotary dial, which should make it more convenient to use.
