Background: Since the activation of Shijiazhuang Xiusui Park and Dingding Tan Garden, the only remaining park in Shijiazhuang managed by POTA is Shennengshan National Forest Park (CN-0803), which is located deep in the mountains near Yingshan. It is the most difficult park to reach (with no public transportation). The activation plan was temporarily suspended due to recent heavy rains in Shijiazhuang.
On October 15th, it was another day I didn't want to go to class. Since it was a "water course" day, I just stayed in bed and slept until around noon. While dreaming, I dreamt that I was hiking, so I decided to try calling for a car. Because it was lunchtime, I set the call time for 1:00-1:30, hoping it would work (although I didn't really expect it to, since the destination was in the mountains and the journey was 80km). I packed my bag and set off.

The driver was very nice, and we chatted along the way. He said that the "ling pi" (a local specialty) in Jingshan is delicious, so if I come, I must try it (of course... I also agreed, even though planning to go down from the top of the mountain and then take a taxi back to school would definitely not have allowed me to eat). He noticed that I hadn't eaten, so he gave me a bag of instant noodles when he was leaving – which was my first meal of the day.
As soon as we reached the entrance to the scenic area, we discovered that this was actually a toll booth, built inside a valley. (And for just 50 yuan, who gave him the audacity?)

I asked at the entrance and found out that the student ticket was 25 yuan. "Well, I can't just come here for free," I told the ticket seller, who then informed me that the entrance to the scenic area was five miles away. "Are you coming alone?" He also mentioned that the shuttle bus only ran on Saturdays and Sundays. "Oh well," I thought, "let's go."
After walking a few hundred meters, I encountered my first helpful person. I saw a car approaching from behind, so I waved to get their attention and told them that I wanted to go to the scenic area. They agreed to give me a ride to the foot of the mountain. (When we got there, I found out that there was also a parking fee of 10 yuan, which was really frustrating!)

Basically, it's a door with an anchor and a live streamer selling products inside. The scenery up the mountain isn't particularly impressive; it's mostly just green. It was already around 3:00 PM when I started climbing (about a third of the way). I decided to stop and set up my equipment.
