However, I was also considering another question: if the natural-hanging dipole antenna is too flexible, it could wrap itself around or be blown into a knot by the wind. Once wrapped, the antenna parameters would change, and the standing wave ratio could increase dramatically, even to the point of damaging the radio. Therefore, I decided to use two sticks as supports to secure both dipoles, then test them in different configurations – DP (horizontal dipole), horizontal V, vertical V, and vertical L – to see which configuration was best suited for my environment. Of course, it's important to ensure a secure setup.
