Developer's musings: In fact, there were already many interesting internet simulation and communication projects before FMO, such as DMR (Digital Mobile Radio) protocols.
I also learned a lot of interesting things from these projects. The design inspiration for FMO came from these projects, but we hope to make it simpler and more user-friendly, so that every enthusiast can immediately enjoy the fun of internet connectivity by simply using the simulator after purchasing it.
When designing, I specifically considered a loosely coupled server architecture to ensure that FMO functions as a personal device for each user, independent of the developer's individual will.
We want to create FMO as a platform that functions like "water," where everyone is a node, and everyone can establish their own server. Even in complex network environments, FMO will maintain good connectivity for all users.
We hope that FMO will be a fun and engaging toy for amateur radio enthusiasts, allowing them to enjoy the pleasures of using it.
We hope that even if you are a "lone" radio enthusiast in your local area, or if the electromagnetic environment around you is very poor, or if you don't have enough funds to purchase an expensive digital handheld, you can still find like-minded friends and share the joy of radio through FMO.
