I only know that ceramic-based iron oxide has low loss and high inductance, requiring fewer turns for winding, but it is prone to saturation and suitable for low power applications. In contrast, magnetic powder cores have the opposite characteristics.
However, it seems that many high-power antennas also use ferrite to wind around them. What is the reason for this difference? Is it due to factors such as impedance or permeability?
