Yesterday, while operating APRS from Fuzhou, I was trying to determine if I could reach Taiwan. I received two signals: BM2MCF-12 and BO2AB-10. Later, after contacting BI5UNM, I discovered that the latter signal was coming from a station in Kinmen County. This suggests that my location might be able to communicate with other areas on the 2m band around 3 PM in the autumn. I also plan to experiment with using a Yagi antenna to try and reach Xiamen, Zhangzhou, Quanzhou, or Zhejiang province. I'm particularly interested in learning about the propagation patterns in this area during different seasons. Currently, my research suggests that communication is most likely possible between 3 PM and 4 PM in the autumn.
