BI1XJT BG9JDQ Try visiting reversebeacon.net after calling CQ. This will allow you to see reports from Skimmers around the world and gain some insight into how your signal is propagating. The frequency used by HF stations is not fixed; it can be scanned around the range of 14.00-14.74/21.00-21.74 to find other DX stations. (You can also use RBN to find the station that is currently calling.)
BG6QED Turn off QSK; this will save power, and it's especially good for the lifespan of the amplifier tubes. The QSK Time setting must be set to 0, otherwise the sound will be very "crisp" when recording and transmitting.
BH2VZC QSK time is the duration from when you press and release the key to when it transitions from transmit mode to listen mode. In most cases, it's not necessary to use full QSK (i.e., immediately switch to listening mode after lifting the key), and you can set the interval according to your own preferred transmitting habits.

BenRG Based on the information transmitted that day, and using resources like reversebeacon.net (as suggested earlier), I can filter the reports to only show those from CQ ZONE 24 (domestic) spotters. This allows me to see which beacons in the domestic range received signals and assess the current propagation situation. Then, I can try calling them myself to see if they are able to hear the signal. In my experience, the recent propagation has been generally poor or even worse, especially since the GP antenna's 10W power output is unlikely to be heard by anyone...
