Notice Regarding the Implementation of the 2025 Jinnan City Amateur Radio Station Operation Technology Capability Verification Examination
To all amateur radio enthusiasts:
According to the "Management of Amateur Radio Stations" (No. 67 Decree) issued by the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, along with relevant regulations, the Jinan Municipal Bureau of Industry and Information Technology plans to organize and conduct the A-class and B-class operation technology capability verification exams for amateur radio stations in Jinan in the near future. The following information is hereby notified:
1. Registration period
From September 24, 2025, 9:00 AM to September 29, 2025, 12:00 PM
Deadline for submitting supplementary materials: September 30, 2025, 12:00 PM
II. Eligibility Requirements
(1) Individuals participating in the verification of amateur radio station operating technical capabilities should be familiar with regulations governing amateur radio and possess a certain level of amateur radio operating technical skills.
(ii) Individuals who register and participate in the verification of amateur radio operating skills should have obtained a license for an amateur radio station in accordance with the law, and possess relevant practical experience, for at least 6 months.
III. Registration Method
For amateur radio enthusiasts who meet the registration requirements, please log in to the website of the Amateur Radio Division of the China Association of Radio (http://crac.org.cn/), click the "Ability Verification" column on the lower right, then click "Candidate Entry", select "Register", and log in. After logging in, choose the corresponding city's A or B class registration in "Select Exam". When registering, please enter information and upload documents according to the prompts, and submit for review after completing the online registration information. Before submitting formally, you can modify the registration information at any time. Please do not easily select "Delete", as this indicates that the candidate voluntarily gives up participating in this exam. After deleting, the system does not support re-registering for this exam. After registering successfully, please check the review feedback information promptly and supplement or revise the registration materials according to the review opinions before the deadline. After passing the review, please download and print your admission ticket promptly.
IV. Registration Information
(1) The candidate's electronic photo. Please provide a recent (within the last 6 months) color photograph with a white background, in JPEG format, showing the full head and shoulders, with the head height ranging from 1/2 to 4/5 of the overall image height. The face must be clear, and the aspect ratio should be approximately 4:3. The dimensions should be 25mm x 35mm. Only white-background photographs are allowed. No cropped or digitally altered photos are permitted.
(ii) Front and back electronic photos of your ID card. Please provide color photographs, with the ID card's portrait side clearly visible, without obstructions, distortions, deformations, reflections, text, or unclear images. The format should be JPG, with a resolution not lower than 1024×768 pixels and not higher than 4096×3072 pixels.
(iii) Applicants for Class B also need to provide scanned copies of their Class A operator certificate and amateur radio license. Please provide a color photo of your Class A amateur radio operator certificate, with no obstructions, distortions, or reflections, clear text and recognizable headshot, in JPG format, with a resolution not lower than 1024×768 pixels and not higher than 4096×3072 pixels.
V. Pre-exam training
The Jinan City Amateur Radio Association will organize free training sessions before the exam. The training plan for these sessions can be found in Appendix A.
Six. Important things to note during the exam.
(1) Exam time: October 18, 2025, morning.
(2) Examination venue: Shandong Province, Jinan City, Licheng District, Hongxi Road 3636, Wangbenju Hotel, Licheng Branch (South Gate)
(iii) Examination method: Paper-based, closed-book exam. For the A-class test, a score of 25 or more correct answers (including) out of 30 questions is required to pass; for the B-class test, a score of 40 or more correct answers (including) out of 50 questions is required to pass.
(4) Session Schedule (Preliminary, subject to change based on registration numbers):
First round: Candidates with exam tickets numbered 001-300, category A（9:00-9:40）
Second round: Candidates with exam admission number after A-class 300（9:50-10:30）
All B-class candidates（9:50-10:50）
(5) Requirements: Candidates must bring their original ID card and admit ticket to the examination venue 20 minutes in advance to participate in the exam. Black pens or 2B pencils for answering questions should be brought by the candidates themselves. No reference materials or electronic devices are allowed in the examination hall. If a candidate is found to have violated any rules, such as cheating, their eligibility for this exam will be revoked, and they will be prohibited from taking any further exams for two years.
