I made two sets, giving one away and keeping one for myself. The 15Ah capacity is just right; with a 100W radio, I can operate in the field for about three to four hours before needing to recharge, and then go home for dinner. The size and dimensions are also very good.
The cost is probably around $100, and it offers excellent value for money.
You can directly use a charger designed for four series of phosphate iron lithium batteries, which should cost around 30 or 40 yuan each.
I also modified my FT-891 to use an XT60 power supply, so I can directly connect a dual-head XT60 extension cable to the battery.
With so many advantages, why not make a few more? Because the size of this waterproof box is just right, and it's really difficult to fit in...
I need to trim the eight corners of the battery holder… make sure the balance wire is snug… cut the front battery terminals to exactly the right length… solder the XT60 connector at an angle, pointing upwards… this allows it to fit just barely… perhaps that's why there's no movement inside after it's inserted.
I also used a relatively unprofessional soldering iron to solder the battery pack, and I was quite worried about it exploding. However, since the seller provided tinning points, perhaps I could use the soldering iron. After soldering with the soldering iron, I charged the batteries using a RC charger, and there was no significant capacity loss, so I didn't think it would cause much damage.
