The coordinates are in the US and China. The equipment is FTDX-10, and I'm not receiving any domestic signals on CW or FT8, even at 20m and 40m. Could you please help me troubleshoot this issue?
Initially, I was using a ground-mounted antenna about 3.5 meters high, which could only receive signals from North America and Europe. Suspecting that the antenna's elevation angle was too large, I temporarily switched to a JPC-12. This allowed me to successfully communicate with Australia, New Zealand, Japan, and South Korea, and I was able to achieve signal strengths of 539-559. However, I still couldn't receive signals from within China. What would be the most reasonable approach to take? Should I change the antenna? Move it outside the city or up a hill? Thank you.
The night-time noise floor on my end is around 20 dB, which isn't too high. When using the JPC-12 with a 300 Hz filter, the S-meter doesn't typically indicate anything, and SSB signals can reach S3.
