BG4JTS GP antennas and ground networks are typically kept perpendicular to each other, with lengths of either λ/4 (recommended) or λ/8. A larger number and more uniform spacing provide better results.
When the antenna is mounted horizontally, the ground wire will naturally droop downwards.
The antenna is mounted vertically, and in the field, it forms a star-shaped pattern when deployed as a ground network. While you can use it for reference inside the building, its performance cannot be guaranteed due to different environments.
What materials can be used for the ground plane? You can use any type of cable, or a peel-and-stick patch cable, and lay it on the floor. Shielding fabric can also be used. The length doesn't necessarily need to be long; it needs to be adjusted based on individual circumstances.
