I built a ground plane myself using copper wire, along with a 5.6-meter boom and a 1:1 balun. After setting it up, I found that the VSWR was around 1.0 at a height of about 1 meter above the ground. However, as the antenna height increased, the lowest resonant point also increased, and the VSWR reached around 2.0 at approximately 5 meters. Subsequently, I tried replacing the support pole, changing the transceiver feet, and even using the balun without it, but the problem persisted. What's going on? Has anyone else encountered this issue? How can I fix it?
