BH3GEG I ordered the boards from Jia Li Chuang. The board material is a 1.6mm aluminum-based PCB, and the platform requires a minimum order of 5. I only needed 4, so I kept the remaining 4 for myself. I just paid for shipping on the extra one. After removing the original panel, you will need to re-solder the antenna and power connector interfaces, which requires some manual skills. Only one board is provided. You need to purchase two M2 screws and an XT60E-M connector separately, and use the original screws for the other parts. The XT60E-M connector should be purchased separately.
BI1SFC The design is really beautiful and full of energy. The XT60 connector could be replaced with a hex screw for a more rugged look, which would also better match the machine.
BD3ROR I also used a similar adapter for my FT-891, and it's much better than the original 4-pin Molex connector. I no longer have to strain my hand when plugging in and out. Also, could you please modify a Gerber for BI1XJT's G90 as well? It would be helpful.🤣
BA4TEK BD3ROR I need to know how to tighten the power screw in the 891, but I can't get it to turn. It seems like it might be stripped.
BD3ROR BA4TEK Which screw is it – the one with two terminals on the inside? Hmm, use a screwdriver that's appropriately sized and of good quality, and when loosening all the screws for the first time, apply firm pressure to the screw while turning. That's exactly how my father taught me when I was younger.
