I also have this device. First, I apply for a DMRS ID on the DMRS website. Then, I set up the local digital repeater frequency. Remember to select the correct channel mode. Next, I import CSV contacts into the contact list and disable both the receive group and dual-channel settings. When you press PTT, if the full call display appears, it means the connection is successful. If it times out, it means either the frequency is not set correctly or that the frequency is outside the repeater range, which prevents connecting to the repeater.
This device has a problem: if you enable "send alias" while using Digital Comms, and then switch to analog frequency Comms, it may sometimes experience intermittent connection issues. If someone tells you that your analog Comms are experiencing intermittent connection or poor audio quality, remember to disable this feature.
Another scenario is that the microphone works normally during simulated communication, but when using digital communication, the other person's voice will be very faint. Check your device firmware; ideally, it should be 42 or higher. Firmware versions below 42 have insufficient microphone gain, and you need at least 42 to use the additional microphone gains (Enhance 1, Enhance 2, Enhance 3). If your firmware is below 42, it's best to upgrade it before using digital communication. Otherwise, most likely, the other person won't be able to hear your voice; they will only see you calling. After upgrading, do not import the backup files from before flashing; you can directly import the CVS contact information, but all others must be manually re-written, otherwise there is a high probability of bugs.
