BI4LJU I use an FT-891, and I'm not saying it's bad. Currently, I carry a complete setup: the radio with a shield, a MA01 antenna, a black box (antenna tuner + converter), a gum battery, a handheld microphone, power cable, FT8 cable, 5 meters of ground wire, 5 meters of feedline; a universal metal stand, and a mounting bracket. All of this is essential for me: in addition to the above, I also have a 20-meter long end-fed antenna and an U7V4 Yagi antenna in my car's trunk. I plan to add another antenna tuner, as sometimes adjusting the ground can be difficult. I might also consider using a long wire. Adding a ground helps with tuning, but it takes time. As a beginner, I don't have a spectrum analyzer or an antenna tuner. Instead, I would recommend setting up your own environment and choosing a suitable antenna.
