I just moved recently, and I only have one window with a bay that could accommodate a UV antenna.
Hello everyone, I have a 1.6-meter UV segment car antenna (the small one in the picture, which has other uses). Previously, I used it with the car's suction cup, mounted vertically on the window (in a PVC frame, which seemed to work okay).
If I don't open the window and extend the antenna, will this stainless steel railing significantly affect the signal? Should I continue to use the suction cup to hold the railing upright inside, or should I replace the cable with a new cable and attach it to the railing using zip ties?
