The rotator I am currently using is a YEASU G1000DXC, and the controller uses a "Ma Gong Box".
I have tried the following three control software options for the computer:
HRD rotator: The GUI is very nice and intuitive, and I was able to find a cracked version. However, the downside is that it often becomes unresponsive and freezes frequently. It also won't shut down properly, and doesn't release the COM port when unresponsive, which prevents me from using other software to control it. The only solution is to restart the computer to get rid of it.
↑ It's really great and very intuitive to use, but the HRD software is incredibly bloated.
N1MM: Simple to use, you can simply enter the call sign to switch directions, and also control the angle yourself. The downside is that some call signs, especially those from within China, are not very accurate in their switching direction; manual adjustment requires manually looking at a map and calculating the angle, which is not as intuitive as using HRD.
PstRotatorAZ: Paid software, it's quite useful, but the interface is a bit dated. You can try it for free, but you can only use it for 10 minutes each time.
It also supports inputting call signs and manually entering angle turns, which is more accurate than N1MM.
The three above are all very useful, but I can't find one that perfectly combines the features of HRD (where you can click on a map point to change settings), N1MM (the free software), and PST (the accuracy).
Are there any other useful rotary control software that you would like to share with us?
