In the future, we might be able to use magnetic encoders or other suitable solutions, but that would require us to fabricate the rotating shaft, which is a bit more complex for me at the moment. Also, the cost of off-the-shelf photoelectric encoders is too high; the combined cost of other components may even exceed the cost of the encoder itself.
