FreeDV 2.0.0 has been released, which includes the first official release of the RADE V1 mode, previously tested through several preview releases. Radio Autoencoder. (RADE) This technology represents a novel method for transmitting speech via high-frequency (HF) radio, combining machine learning techniques. (ML) using classical DSP to transmit high-quality speech over HF radio with S/N ratios as low as -2 dB within a bandwidth of 1500 Hz. As part of this effort, deprecated modes (700C, 800XA, 2020 and 2020B) have been removed from the application. Additionally, this contains numerous bug fixes and non-RADE specific enhancements from the last official release. (1.9.9.2).
