I recently bought two K5 units and am planning to replace the capacitors. After disassembling one, I found that one had a wire connection while the other did not. When measuring the board without a wire connection with a multimeter, I found that the corresponding points were connected. I suspect that a batch of boards may have had a problem, and the wires were used as a temporary fix. However, after using it, I didn't notice any other differences.
