When at the airport or on the plane, please keep your device turned off and do not place it in a conspicuous location. This is to prevent it from being confiscated by staff who don't understand the rules or by other uninformed individuals who may report it. While you will eventually be able to retrieve it, if it causes any inconvenience or delays your travel, you will have to bear the responsibility yourself.
During security screening, you can see a radio inside the bag. The normal procedure will remind you not to turn it on.
Bring your license along, just in case (although it's probably unnecessary).
Before using a walkie-talkie, take a look at the map of the surrounding area for the upcoming week to avoid using it near sensitive locations (such as military units), for the same reason.
