(Regarding the equipment mentioned above: I have not personally owned any of these devices. My evaluation is based on review videos, feedback from other HAM radio operators, test data, and my own experience using other people's equipment. If there are any inaccuracies, please point them out and correct them.)
Space Godzilla:
It's a K5K6 with increased power and shortwave reception capabilities, but it's not as fun to use as the K5 and K6. Its shortwave reception performance is also subpar; it's better to buy a radio or an SDR. Also, don't transmit on unlicensed frequencies (the 6-meter band used by TK11 is heavily scattered into the aviation band; if you operate from a mountain using PTT, your signal will be stronger than that of an airport tower).
Rating: Don't buy it, it's terrible.
DM1701:
It supports OpenGD77, and you can also use it for DMR and APRS. The OpenGD77 firmware includes a "satellite tracking" feature, making it easy to communicate with satellites.
Rating: Very playable, and not too expensive, so it's worth buying one.
8600:
This radio is very similar to the 8800, but it's much cheaper. It has all the necessary features (unlike the 8800, which has Bluetooth write capability), and I think its performance will be better than the 1701. If you don't need to flash third-party firmware or use DMR, then this is a good option for you.
Evaluation: It's worth buying if you want to use Bluetooth writing, but the 8800 will be more expensive.
